We're celebrating Neighborhood Fiber Co's 15th birthday this year, and how could we not introduce a special new color for the occasion! Inspired by one of the very first colors I dyed in my apartment kitchen back in 2006, Legacy is a speckle color with saturated blues, purples, and greens, warmed by golden brown. OG fans of NFC will see the influence of LeDroit Park in this variegated color.
When I was considering this color and the legacy of the company, I knew that this yarn would have a philanthropic component. Rather than choose one single cause, I am donating 20% of Legacy sales to the NFC Momentum Fund. For now, that means that your purchases are supporting refugee assistance for Afghans (IRAP) and victims of Hurricane Ida (Imagine Water Works).
