January Newsletter - Happy New Year!

January 01, 2016 2 min read

2015 was a big year for all of us at Neighborhood Fiber Co. We moved from our tiny workspace to an amazing new location in a historic firehouse. We finally have the room for a dedicated retail space with classes, knit nights, and regular open hours! You all warmed our hearts with your generosity in the face of tragedy by purchasing the Sandtown-Winchester and Sans Frontières colorways. Because of you, we were able to donate $10,085 to Baltimore Community Foundation and another $10,210 to Doctors Without Borders. We hosted our first annual dye retreat (we have 2 options in 2016!), finished our first sweater club, and started our second one. We even had livestock at our Holiday Open House. All of this amazing growth and success was made possible by YOU! Your support of my small business means the world to me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. We all look forward to an amazing 2016 with more exciting firsts to come.

Hello 2016!

First up for 2016 are some brand new colors! We've decided to introduce 4 seasonal colors every 3 months. This means there will be a total of 16 additional colors to choose from throughout the year. We will also be paring down our standard colors to make way for some new ones, but don't fret, we will bring back any retired colors as seasonal colors at some point! The first 4 colors will be available from January 1st to March 31st.

Studio Store Happenings

We've expanded our store hours! We are now open from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 10 am to 8 pm on Wednesdays. Come hang out, bring your projects, shop for new ones, and see where the yarn is made!
We are busy working on our spring class schedule. In the meantime, we have a dye workshop scheduled for January 31st from 10 am - 2 pm. If you have already taken one of our dye workshops, or were at our dye retreat, we also offer supervised open dye kitchen time. Please email info@neighborhoodfiberco.com if interested.
