Dye Workshop and NFC Studio Tour
Ever wanted to dye your own yarn, but not sure how to start? Join NFC Artist Karida Collins for a semi-private dyeing workshop and tour of the NFC studio in Mount Rainier, Maryland. You’ll learn color theory and how it applies to dyeing yarn, how different fibers take dye differently, how to mix dye to get the color you want, and much more. Price covers class and all materials, including enough sock yarn for four pairs of socks!
Karida will demonstrate how to mix dye powder, and you’ll learn basic yarn handpainting as well as how to dye self-striping or self-patterning yarns. Wear clothes you don’t mind messing up, and bring an old towel with you.
