Karida is a recovering academic with a serious fiber addiction. Her best friend taught her to knit three years ago, and the craft helped her to survive graduate school. Knitting is her passion, but she loves dabbling in anything crafty, including crochet, quilting, soap making, cross stitch, and embroidery. 

Karida lives in LeDroit Park at Neighborhood Fiber Co. headquarters with her partner,  Erika and their two destructive cats. Neighborhood Fiber Co. came about because she figured it was the best way to make yarn a business expense. Hannah agreed.  Erika's still not so sure.
