Neighborhood Fiber Company is a Washington, D.C.-based purveyor of
hand-painted yarns and rovings, knitting and crochet patterns,
drop-spindle kits, and other products guaranteed to whet the crafty
appetites of fiberholics everywhere.

Co-owned by friends and business partners Karida Collins and Hannah
Six, the company is dedicated to providing fiber arts products rich in
saturated colors that reflect the natural beauty and diverse
neighborhoods found throughout the nation's capital. In fact, we even
name our yarn colorways after some of our favorite places in the
District. We are proud of the texture, loft, and sheen of our many
yarns, from the finest lace-weight silk-and-mohair to the loftiest
thick-and-thin wool.

Being serious fiber addicts ourselves, we wanted to do more than
simply create and sell hand-painted yarns...so we looked to another of
our passions, spinning, for inspiration. We've created rovings in
luscious colors to complement our yarn colorways; packaged drop
spindles with fiber and step-by-step instructions (a lovely gift
idea!); and even offer spinning wheel rentals, with door-to-door
delivery.
