Where in the world is NFC?
So, life and work have been even more insane than usual. But the good kind of insane! October is shaping up to be a great month for NFC.
First, look for me at Stitches East this weekend in Booth 342. I’ll have LOTS of yarn, with a particularly large amount of Studio Sock.
Second, you can finally buy NFC online again! Rob and Matt at Threadbear have the Studio Sock yarn in all 19 colors available online. Go check it out and get your sock fix.
And finally, if you haven’t heard about it on the Lime N Violet Daily Chum or Knit Happens blog, I have a new yarn coming out. Watershed is a 30% seacell/70% merino sock yarn that feels wonderful and dyes like a dream. Simultaneously, I’m announcing a partnership with the Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS), a local nonprofit dedicated solely to restoring and cleaning up the Anacostia River and its tributaries. For every skein of Watershed yarn sold, I will donate $1 to AWS.
To celebrate, I’m having a big launch party at Knit Happens on October 24 from 6pm to 9pm. I’ll be there with a rep from AWS to talk about the yarn, the river, and their exciting work. So come hang out, eat some good food, and maybe pick up some sock yarn.

I was at Stitches East on friday and had my first encounter with your beautiful yarn. I absolutely adore it! I picked up Kalorama Circle (the last hank too!), and it’s gorgeous. I can’t recall the name of the other hank I got, but they’re great. I must say I had the worst time just getting two and then an even worse time picking them out because they’re all great! I should have gotten more. You have me totally hooked and I look forward to many many more than just two pairs of socks made from your yarn.
